The Boaty Crafty Blog

A happy new year to you all, may 2010 be wonderful.

Monday 11th January.

The new years resolution is to join the blogging world.

So here goes

The rambling of the team, be it Dorrie. Paul or Georgina.

Today its Dorrie.

Freshly back from our festive season holiday, for those of you that know us 'yes it was skiing', this year to Neiderau in Austria a great family resort.  Thank goodness for modern snow making facilties, the snow clouds were avoiding the Inn valley and giving the snow to everywhere but there.  There was enough snow to ski and a little left over for a few snow balls.  Driving back Saturday was more interesting, the question was now big is the snow storm, the answer was over 450 miles, just a bit a pratice for this week!  We made the ferry arriving back Sunday morning.

Now its back to boating and crafting.  The canal at the moment is a little frozen but melting fast, yes Georgina (who didin't do the skiing bit)  keeps telling me it all looked very petty last week.  We remind everyone the cold snaps in Britain, do not last long, so we keep running all year.  Pauls out clearing snow at the moment.

The main business is still the boating but the craft shop and crafting classes/workshops are begining to take off, as people realise we are down in the quays area.   January tents to be quiet so its time to sort and early spring clean, which it the one of the next jobs to make a start.

Enjoy the snow if you can, we are a family that does.

Take care.
